Default in town clothes?

just an idea i just thought up i hope it hasnt been previosuly mentioned, but what if you could buy nice looking clothes to wear when your in town and it wouldnt display your armor, but instead your clothes. and wehn you went out to zone it automatically switched it back to your current armor.

This has been suggested before, even by Gaile Gray if I remember correctly. No need for another thread about more character customization options.
